Description: This original 1950s longline black bullet bra is a unique and rare piece for the discerning wearer and collector of vintage foundation garments. It's relatively common to find these in white or pink, but not in the "racier" colors like black. It is also unique for including four metal girdle hooks, which are attached to the top edge of an open bottom girdle to prevent it from riding up or down uncomfortably. There are satin tape details around the bra cups and a soft fabric backing for the hooks and eyes. This bra is unusual to modern wearers for the near complete absence of stretch fabric, save for two elastic gores on the side of the waist. Part of the interior is made with a more satin-like cotton than the exterior. The only flaw is a repair to the strap on the back left side. Note: I originally believed this to be a 1940s piece because of the style, but the union label dates to the late 50s! Very surprising! Measurements taken flat Bust 37" Underbust 31" Waist 28-30"
