Description: Stanley OH series two-tone planes were first made in as a promotion for the 1940 National Hardware week. In 1941 different colors were used as a promotion for the 1941 National Hardware week. This item, the Red Frog model, was one of two color options for the OH4. Unlike the 1940 editions, the 1941 editions were discontinued in May of 1941. The Stanley Two Tones were brought back in 1950 and 1951. The 1940-1941 blades were stamped STANLEY TWO-TONE MADE IN USA (as this one is) and the 1950-1951 blades were stamped TWO TONE BY STANLEY. Because of the more limited production of the 1941 editions they are considered the rarer of the Stanley Two-Tone series. This rare 1941 Stanley Two-Tone OH4 with red frog is in excellent condition for a vintage plane. The conditions of the plane and blade show minimal use. For a collector, this would be a great addition. For a vintage tool wood worker, this would be a welcome model in a size 4 plane. Please look at all pictures to judge condition of this plane.
