Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1940's Monica of Hollywood 17" Composition Doll with Rooted Human Hair Beautiful blonde, blue eyed Monica produced by The Monica Doll Studios Company created by Hansi Share. The only composition doll ever made with rooted hair. All composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. Painted facial features including painted eyes, eye shadow, eyebrows, bright cheek blush and lips. Doll comes wearing an adorable seamstress made costume which includes the flower adorned turban style hat, red, lace trimmed midriff blouse, open, flared, skirt with hem ruffle and hand attaching ribbons to make her skirt flirt, white undies and vintage sandals. CONDITION: Very good briefly played with condition. Make-up, skin tone, hair all in good condition. Hair is thick but on the short side. Joints are fairly tight - she can stand and pose. She has had torso seam split repairs to both sides and crotch - probably caused by having been strung too tight. Her red and white costume is seamstress made and all in excellent condition - closes with snaps. Shoes have age soil and repairs.
