Vintage 1938 Royal De Luxe Touch Control Typewriter With Leather Hardshell Case

Description: For your consideration this is a beautifully designed vintage Royal De Luxe portable pica font touch control typewriter, accented in chrome with a marble like finish. The space bar is I believe to be made of Bakelite as well and also includes features such as ribbon reverse color changing from black to red or stencil, touch control for light or hard press and to the left is the ribbon reverse. The tops of the keys are made of glass with stainless steel surrounding them. It uses a carriage model shift mode with a manual tab setting on the back. The serial number for this model which is shown in the photos is A563936. The H sticks a bit and a new ribbon would also be a suggestion. This one is only black and has no red and am not sure how old it is. It weighs 15lbs and the case comes with a key so it can be locked. There is some wear to the case due to age, but the typewriter comes in and out quite easily. This would be considered the higher end of portable typewriters for the pre war era.
