Description: Vintage 1930s rayon (I believe) velvet dress. Handmade dress with much of it done with large basting stitches. Loose fit with three-quarter sleeves. Slight V at neck, ruching at shoulders, gathers at sides underarms, lateral rows of gather stitch across front bodice, hook and eye closure at side under arm, small pad at sleeve puff. Seamed at waist with baste stitching. Black velvet is so hard to photograph so the fabric may appear dusty or dirty in the photos, but it is not. The best fit is about a women's size 10.
