Description: RARE Vintage 1930s Black Rayon + Mesh Striped Layered Tiered Balloon Sleeve Dress! Features: - dramatic bishop sleeves, composed of 3D layered graduated tiers of rayon stripes, with mesh in-between each layer or "stripe" - sleeves gather at each wrist with cuffs that fasten with 2 snaps each - a row of intricate smocked stitching at the top of each shoulder to created a flowing, bloused bodice - horizontal striped mesh panels at chest / neckline - nipped in waist - bias-cut geometric Deco triangular seam below waist - flared swing skirt - snap closure at back of neck - beautifully made with excellent attention to detail - no maker's labels Very very good vintage condition! One of the stripe panels at neckline has the mesh cut out. I'm not sure if it was intentional or if someone cut it out? Otherwise excellent condition! Can fit a variety of measurements due to bias cut and the way it drapes on the body. There are no side snap closures or zippers. It slips over head and drapes beautifully on measurements smaller than listed. Bust: up to 40” but drapes beautifully on smaller Waist: 30”- 34” Hips: up to 44" Length: 47” Model is 5' 9" and measures 33-28-40. Accessories not included.
