Description: Up for sale is an Antique Framed Print of a Character from the 17th Century play "Don Sanche D'aragon". Circa 1880s-1890s. The print features a gorgeous artwork by L. Wolff. The artwork is of the character "Carlos" from the 17th Century play "Don Sanche D'Aragon" by Pierre Corneille. Carlos is wearing a nice Baroque style outfit. The print includes the phrase "Comtes, de cet anneau depend le diademe: Il vaut bien un combat: vous avez tous du coeur Et ju le garde" (Counts, on this ring depends the tiara: It is well worth a fight: you all have a heart And keep it.). The print is in an Antique wooden Borghese frame that is painted black with a gold inner border. There is some light wear and some yellowing to the print as well as fading to the color. The frame has some wear and discoloration and hairline cracks on the gold inner border and there are light scratches/abrasions throughout the rest of the frame as seen in the photos. The frame has it's original paper with a sticker that reads "BORGHESE". Overall the piece is in decent shape and displays beautifully.
