Description: This stunning large brass scale is of the Victorian Period and is a Brass Balance Scale on a Mahogany Base. The scale is either English or French. Both makers used mahogany wood on their scales. The scale measures 16” W. 18” H, and 6” D. The scale is as found in an estate in Great Falls, Virginia. The family owned many French and English antiques. I can’t say for sure that the other pieces are original to the scale, but it is a gorgeous scale—and as found. Good Original Condition Overall. Please note that there is a small chunk of wood missing from the top as pictured. A very stunning original antique scale.
