Description: This Pelikan 400N is the rarest one from the 400 series. Reason for this is it was only produced for less than a year, in 1956. Succeeding the 400 and being the 400NN's predecessor, the 400N was a pen that had a very short life span making it many, many times rare than the others. The barrel end has the Gunther Wagner Germany stamped, as the older 400, while the cal has 3x Pelikan 400, like the newer model. You can also see the differences in the pictures, as I compared it a tortoise 400 and 400nn. The other pens are in the pictures only for visual comparison purposes between the design of the 400 pens lineup. The pen is in near mint to mint condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no cracks visible anywhere on it. The nib writes well and the pen has received a full service, which included thorough cleaning and lubrication of moving parts with silicone. 14k F- Fine, nib is in great condition also. The nib is very flexy. I might be able to exchange it for a different size same nib, depending on what I have in stock at the moment. Let me know if interested. I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. Please keep in mind that I am a left handed writer. Shipping takes 10-30 days worldwide, usually there are no custom duties for my customers, however I cannot guarantee this, thus any possible customs chargers are the buyers response. The pen is guaranteed authentic.
