Description: This is a small leaflet entitled CONTRACTS AND SILVER on behalf of William McKinley and against the Free Silver platform and movement of William Jennings Bryan, the 1896 and 1900 nominee of the Democratic Party against McKinley. It discusses mail carriers in particular and stresses the key McKinley argument of the time that unlimited coinage of silver would bring great inflation. This pamphlet is numbered as Leaflet No. 27. My pictures show the front page, then the double page inside when it is opened, and finally the back page when it is folded again. All in all, a very nice item that captures the essence of the dominating political issue of the day and definitely a great item for an McKinley or Bryan collector or those collecting important historical documents. Excellent condition -- no tears, writing, damage, etc. -- and, of course, guaranteed to be absolutely authentic.
