Though the original painting was done in 1883, the lithograph was published in 1886. THE FOUR PHEASANTS PICTURED ARE: 42- THE GOLD PHEASANT43- THE SILVER PHEASANT44- LADY AMHERST'S PHEASANT45- THE RING NECKED PHEASANT Jean Bungartz was a German animal painter, author and book illustrator. PAPER MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 10.75" X 14.5". Print was removed by removing binding from book. Paper has age related toning and light discoloration on the margins, with minor spotting on the bottom margin and minor edge imperfections to the paper. The pages that identify the four birds shown will be included, and allow you to do your own translating. The English translation for the book was titled: THE BIRD WORLD: Handbook for Room and Park Bird Enthusiasts by A. Nuyens, Editor of "Our Feathered Friends" This is plate 11 from the second volume. Published by J.B Wolters in Groningen (Grunn) in the Netherlands.
