No Reserve! DESCRIPTION Various Artists - “More About Love, Hate & Maltreatment Austrian Independent Scene Volume One” Gash Records GASH 004 (Stereo) from 1992. Hard to find 1992 Austrian - not Australian as the Back Cover makes clear - Import Alternative / Indie / Punk / New Wave compilation Double album of Bands from the Scene. Mostly pretty much unknowns (now) but include some who achieved a small amount of fame. Whatever the level of popularity there are some really good stuff here including a nice Kiss cover song! CONDITION The Sleeve is in good shape. There is basic shelf wear - mostly around the edges, corner softening and some edge creasing. Still solid with no writing, splits, stains, tears, cutouts, etc. and I would rate it as VG+. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking to be fairly lightly played. There are some light scuffs, hairlines and marks but plays great, pretty much EX to Near Mint all through. I am calling it VG+ to account for the visual flaws. I provide Play Grades as a courtesy but only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
