Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (since 1969 a member of the Moscow Union of Artists). Honored Artist of Russia. In 1965 he graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov, studied at the poster workshop with N. A. Ponomarev, O. M. Savostyuk, B. A. Uspensky. He worked in the field of socio-political and theatrical posters. Some posters were made in collaboration with poster artists Yu. V. Ivanov and I. T. Ovasapov. Collaborated with the publishing houses "Kid", "Plakat" and "Soviet Artist", the creative workshop of the Union of Artists of the USSR "Agitplakat". He worked a lot and fruitfully in book graphics. He was awarded many awards, diplomas and prizes of the Moscow Union of Artists of the RSFSR, the Union of Artists of the RSFSR and the Union of Artists of the USSR, the State Committee for Publishing of the USSR. (1968), "Long live the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics!" (1972), "Sport is an assistant in work and study!" (1977), "To defend the Motherland - be ready!", "Tasks of the tenth five-year plan - ahead of schedule!" (both -1977; together with M.V. Lukyanov), “Every day is a shock!” (1980), Hello Birds! We are happy to be with you...” (1980), “The relay race of the world is in the hands of the young generation of the Earth!” (1982), "We raise sons not for the war!" (1984), "The October Revolution opened a new era in world history" (1985), "Bread is a noun" (1987). In 1989, for a series of posters on the theme of Russian military history "Borodino", "Kulikovo Field", "Poltava", the artist was awarded the silver medal of the USSR Academy of Arts. Since 1965 he has been a participant in republican, all-Union, international poster exhibitions, foreign exhibitions of Soviet posters (Vietnam, Cuba, Poland, France, Japan). Lived and worked in Mexico (1991-2004), collaborated with the largest publishing houses in this country. In 1992, Leonid Mikhailovich Nepomniachtchi was awarded the Mexican government's Council of Culture Prize and the Antonio Robles National Prize for book illustrations. The artist currently lives and works in Moscow. Circulation posters of L. M.
