This is a GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL Soviet-made badge from the early 70s, not a replica or later edition! The badge is of VERY NICE QUALITY. It is made in aluminum with paint, gold finish and lacquer. The suspension has a cloth ribbon, which is an unusual feature for a jubilee badge, more akin to a medal. The medallion is approx. 31 mm tall including eyelet and 27 mm wide; overall height of the medal with suspension is approx. 55 mm. The medallion depicts the USSR national emblem and inscription “USSR 50”. The reverse of the suspension shows a raised maker’s logo.The badge is in very good to excellent condition, although it shows some tiny chip to red enamel due to shelf life.The finishes are perfect; (other than some normal manufacturing imperfections). The pin attachment is fully functional. Nice item to add to a collection of Cold War-era artifacts!
