Description: For sale here is a hard to find US WW2 Era USMC Marine Corps 8th Regiment Headquarters Service Company Unit Flag. The flag measures approximately 48" X 68". As you can see, it has been folded and shows edge fading. The fabric appears to be synthetic, but i don't believe it is nylon. It is very soft and smooth. The field is a purple with yellow letters and emblems on it. This flag is two sided. Everything is machine sewn, but this appears to be a one off hand made flag. This shows quite a bit of use, age, and wear, with a few small tears, and one loose number 8. However, the worst damage is the edge fold fading that shows throughout and on both sides of the flag.
