Description: Very nice US Civil War Belt Buckle. This is a great looking US Buckle that remains in excellent condition. I was told this is one of the buckles that was found on a shipwreck. I have no way to prove that however the patina is very dark and the lead in the back no longer smooth like you would find on a non dug example. Both of the arrow hooks and heavy brass keeper remain.
