Description: This is a US Army shirt that dates to the Vietnam War. The shirt has pilot wings and a 1st Aviation Brigade combat patch on the right shoulder and a Follow Me as a current unit patch. It also has the soldiers and US Army tapes on the shirt. With that said i believe the soldier was a helicopter pilot that served in Vietnam with the 1st Aviation Brigade and afterwards became a Cadre that was training soldiers in some capacity at Fort Benning. The tag is washed out so I don’t know the exact year it was made or what the size is. I have also never seen this type of a tag in the OG107 or 507 shirts so I believe that it is possibly a PX purchased shirt from the early 1970’s. To be clear that’s only an assumption on my part. With that said lying flat on the floor it measures 23” from underarm to underarm and it measures 29” from the bottom of the collar down to the bottom of the front. It also measures 24” from the shoulder down to the bottom of the wrist cuff on the outside of the sleeve. As far as the condition is concerned the shirt has no noticeable wear or damage and overall it is in really decent shape.
