Description: Upgrade your Parasound/Nad/Adcom amp. If you have any of these, I will massively upgrade it, including the following: -recapping the electrolytic capacitors. I'm using only high-grade Nichicon muse series, Elna tonerex etc. -change bridge rectifiers to ultra fast, soft recovery with higher voltage/amperage ratings. According to Parasound designer John Curl, this makes a big leap in sound quality. -replacing some critical resistors with higher wattage -high end resistors in critical locations in the sound path. -removing most of bypass capacitors from power supply (again, a John Curl recommendation, mostly needed in Parasound amps), replacing with Wima mkp10, or high end polystyrene caps for an extra 50$ (depending on amp model). -replacing the relays which are wear items on these amps. -and more... Your amp will become better sounding and ready to sing for an extra couple of decades. Upgrades vary by your budget, I can do basic (caps+bypass caps+resistors), or ass big supply caps, and/or relays, and/or bridge rectifiers. Make contact to check on upgrade pricing. Customer pays shipping fees to me and back, ebay shipping rates. A little bit about myself. I'm an engineer, in early retirement. Doing electronics projects has been a hobby for me for many years. A few years ago, I purchased a Parasound amp. I read on the internet John Curl from Parasound say it can be massively upgraded, so I decided I'd start doing it for me and other people who want better sound, and who understand after 20-30 years it needs some maintenance. I have a well equiped workshop, with tools to test and calibrate the amps. Even if your amp is malfunctioning, I can fix it along with the upgrade process. I clean all the electronic boards and parts with special fluid. Also, clean the inside of the amp chassis (you would not believe what's in there after 20++ years....:) Now, I get many people asking me, "What will this upgrade give me?", so let me explain. First of all, these amps are about 30 years and older. That makes the electrolytic capacitors start swelling, sometimes leaking and essentially deteriorate, so the unit does not sound as it was when new. The relays also start deteriorating, and you can get to a point where you have clicks and intermittent sound coming from your speakers. Besides replacing these, the upgrade includes better resistors, fast rectifiers, and bypass capacitors. All these make the sound smoother, more pleasant, less itchy, the transients in music have faster response, faster and deeper bass. You get a better sounding unit and reay to serve for another 20-30 years. See me on Instagram at tsipkinbo...
