The interior of the nest tube is 2.5 cm in diameter. Add water in the back sand room of the nest tube, just enough to make it slightly damp. This is to keep the humidity in the nest a little higher for the ants comfort & encourage Queens to lay eggs. This nest is suitable for more than a 50 worker ants of medium sized species or 100 worker ants for small sized species . Best fit for new colonies. This item does NOT come with ants.
