This was a special order piece, hand-painted and signed the Artist, requiring a considerable amount of time and skill to paint. The bowl is footed. The handles are hand-designed to resemble green branches. Each handle has a unique "pink" band on one side, near the base of the handle (see Listing photos). The Lid is embossed with green leaves below the bird knob. The rim of the lid and the upper sides of the bowl (near the rim) are embossed with a basketweave pattern in white. The bowl is adorned with raised pink and yellow flowers. The piece prominently displays the famous Herend Rothschild bird couple on front and back sides of the bowl. I cannot date the piece. I cannot find an option on Herend's website for the piece any longer, so it could be discontinued. There is a hand-painted inscription below the model number - "E38".
