It is based in Yavoriv, Lviv region. It is part of the "West" operational command. The brigade is named after King Danylo, the ruler of the Kingdom of Kyiv Rus, an outstanding statesman and commander of the Middle Ages. On the chevron of the brigade is a Galician lion resting on a rock. This is the symbol of the Galicia-Volyn state. By the way, on the lion's head is the crown of the outstanding commander of the Middle Ages, King Danylo. The 24th Brigade has a motto in Latin: "Milites Regum", translated as "King's Infantry".
