Description: TWO HANDCRAFTED WOOD & PORCUPINE CLASSIC ENGLISH BOB FLOATS This is a fine pair of old-fashioned English floats; eminently suited to numerous types of traditional fishing methods and especially perch / grayling trotting. They also have a feather inlaid in the wood’s varnish layers. They are excellent for perch and grayling, and many other species. They are just the thing to match a vintage bamboo rod and centrepin outfit. The tips are painted for first-class visibility. Each float is totally unique, as they are individually handmade. Signed on the back too by the original float maker. Please note that the whipping and paint colours on the floats may vary a little from the illustration and all are treated with several coats of marine varnish for extra resilience. The whipping style also adds to the floats’ durability. They also have proper wire eyes. Size as illustrated in photos. Altogether these floats are 100% more aesthetically pleasing to use than the typical, soulless, plastic mass-produced things found in contemporary angling suppliers. NB. I recommend using soft latex bands to fix the float to the line, rather than hard plastic bands as it is much kinder to your float.
