Product Description: This offering is for two (2) new (and oversized) non-aero cable housing stops/ferrules. We were able to acquire some cable housing stops/ferrules with a wide enough base (about 10 mm) that will properly "seat" on top of the body of certain vintage non-aero brake levers. It is probably also worth noting the cylinder shaped section just below the 10 mm platform is just under 8 mm in diameter, and this is the section that should "seat" inside the top of the non aero brake lever body. Please also note these non-aero cable housing stops/ferrules are wider than some modern ferrules, which generally measure about 5/6 mm in diameter (and these smaller ferrules will not always properly "seat" on top of the lever body of certain vintage aero brake levers). The key here is the slightly oversized specs. on these stops/ferrules will prevent cable housing from passing through areas of a non-aero brake lever body that are only meant for the cable. This is why some of the newer and smaller ferrules are not a good fit for some of these vintage non-aero brake levers, because they allow both housing and the cables to pass through areas of an non-aero brake lever body that are only designed to accommodate the cable. We should also point out these ferrules/stops are made out of aluminum alloy, so they should hold up better than those we see made out of a nylon or plastic.
