The cable part number and user manuals may reference "RJ45" or "RJ48". However, it should be noted that 10-pin (10P10C) ends are also commonly called RJ50. The important thing to note and check is that compatible Touch Dynamic terminal COM ports will need to have 10 gold pins. Do not confuse the serial COM ports with the similarly sized 8-pin LAN / network port. If you need to go a longer distance, then a DB25 extension cable (not included) would be needed to extend the reach of the adapter to your printer or peripheral device's serial port. The 10-pin end will usually go to a COM1 or COM (out) port on the Touch Dynamic terminal. Please read the user manuals for your terminal and peripheral / printer for proper use of the COM ports. Some of the COM ports on the terminal may have be configured in the computer's BIOS to be "powered" and there's risk of damaging your devices if the peripheral's power configuration doesn't match the COM port's power configuration.
