Athena has arrived to Send~n~Angel Nursery, she slowly transformed from Ping Lau’s sculpt into a gorgeous girl who needs a cuddle! I strive to make my babies as realistic and lifelike as possible and I love creating each one of my babies their own unique personality and seeing them blossom. She was such a treasure to reborn! * * * I created colours to compliment Athena’s skin and shaded her lips and nails. Her fingernails and toenails were tipped in off white and glossed for the look of a fresh manicure. I gave Athena a matte sheen on her lips to seal them in place . * * * I handpainted Athena using Genesis heat set paint in many different thin layers, with a heat set Matte varnish to achieve her translucent skin. My babies all have subtle veining and blushing, blue undertones, their creases are shaded and blushed for depth, some have a red or peach mottled skin tone, others have little baby scratches or birthmarks. Each one I create I make original to their own little self! * * * Athena’s hair is premium angora mohair in dark blonde and can be styled in many ways with a comb or brush. * * * Athena has a full vinyl upper torso, ball jointed head and arms, full legs and a cuddly suede body from the hips to just near the ribs. Her body has been filled with top quality reborning materials (glass beads and soft fluffy fibre fill ) NO organic materials like sand, she is safe for overseas travel since she is located in Perth Australia.
