Description: RAYER, Francis G. Tomorrow Sometimes Comes. London: Home and van Thal. 1951. 8vo. First edition. Publisher’s Red cloth lettered in black to spine, in the excellently-designed dust jacket by ‘Clothier’? A speculative novel set in post-atomic war, in which a battle between mutants and humans still exists. At the centre of the novel is a machine capable of speech, thought and telepathy. The novel was well-regarded by Olaf Stapledon. Rayer wrote various short stories and also published technical works on various aspects of technology. A very good book, the cloth clean, very gently bumped to extremities, the binding tight and square. The contents largely fine, with production-issue creases to front endpaper, some very mild offsetting. The dust jacket unclipped with several small nicks and chips to most corners, spine tips, and some joints rubbed and bumped. Still, a nice copy. Issued also by The Scientific Book Club.
