The film starred Humphrey Bogart as an ex-Colonel who returns to Japan after the end of World War II and discovers some dark secrets. This poster is from what is believed to be the film's original Belgian release in 1950. This particular poster may have been from a printer's inventory of unused Belgian movie posters, since it is in such pristine condition. There have been a number of similar unfolded examples of this same title up for auction over the past few decades. I had been assured from a highly regarded Belgian movie poster expert that this is indeed an original release poster. The beautiful artwork is completely intact and unique to this Belgian release movie poster. A "must have" for any Bogie fan. Unfolded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
