A section covers different ways to collect and what kid’s can do to become more involved in collection through the ANA and other organizations who offer many different programs for young numismatist. Also included is an in depth coverage of the current coinage, and the more popular series which are collected. These sections include an historical perspective on the coin, the designs on the coin, and many other interesting facts about the series. The more you know about a series, the more you will enjoy your coins. My daughter and Melissa Bocciti both wrote a section on coin collecting giving a kid’s perspective. Kids will love these sections and I was proud to include them in this book. A section is also included on buying coins, grading coins. A section covers die varieties, showing the different types and an explanation of what they are. Also included is a section on error coins, foreign coins, hobo nickels, and ancient coins.
