Description: The World's Best One Hundred Detective Stories Funk & Wagnells, Copyrighted 1929 Eugene Thwing, Editor-in-Chief 10-Volumes Complete Green boards and spines with gold lettering on the spines only. The top edges of the text blocks are gilt as well, makinga nice vintage shelf display in green and gold. The books are a bit over 6" tall x 4" across. Unmarked, bindings remain sound. The front board of vol. 10 has a bad crease from top to bottom, breaking the inside paste down (shown) and vol. 8 has several inadvertent page creases and tears toward the back of the book (shown). All books are corner bumped and scuffed and most have bent or blunted corners. The text blocks are tanned and have several stains, oxidized spotting and very likely set in dust. All pages and endpapers are tanned. In addition to the text blocks and endpapers, the pages will also have oxidized spotting here and there. The covers and spines will have scratches, scuffs and a few stains (one in particular is shown). Please see the pictures and message with questions.
