Description: A Halloween classic! The original 1958 pressing of the classic Witch Doctor LP by David Seville …and his friends. Features the rock and roll novelty hit Witch Doctor as well as a bunch of rarely heard further novelty rockers with similar recording tricks and weird sounds. As you all know, Seville was an early experimenter with recording trickery and was also the creator of the Chipmunks. This copy has some wear on the cover, as you can see, but the disc is actually quite nice. A few wispy superficial scuffs but barely, and they don’t affect the play. The whole thing plays near perfectly with maybe only the tiniest crackle between a couple of songs, if that. Really a great player. The cover has been taped on all three seams, which all seem to be split. There are also some spots and scuffs, and a small bit of writing on the back, but actually it still looks pretty cool and the artwork is mostly unmolested and still perfectly striking. In any case it is a great sounding original! Rare in any condition.
