Description: The Standells- "Why Pick on Me" and "Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White"--Pegasus records TS5028-French pressing. The Standells, were they an early punk band or a garage band? They were around in the early 60's, had some long hair and went through numerous member changes before solidifying and recording a few top 40 hits. They became big in Boston at Red Sox and Bruins games---for their biggest hit "Dirty Water" and the river Charles. This album is a compilation of songs, not necessarily all hits, with the exception of a kind poor pressing of "Sometimes Good Guys Dont Wear White". But this is a collectible for any Standells fan or garage band collector. We have cleaned this record using a Spin Clean MK2 record cleaner with distilled water. We play tested both sides using an Audio Technica ATLP120XUSB turntable. After cleaning and playing this record we can fairly rate it as a VG+ player with a VG+ cover. We replaced the old inner sleeve with a new black paper inner sleeve for protection. We will ship the record in a new vinyl sleeve, securely packed in a cardboard record mailer using USPS media mail rates. If you buy it play it as often as you can, enjoy it for what it is and later pass it on. We love records. Thanks for reading our post!
