Description: Fantastic hardback copy of The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. Stated First Edition, 1983, the year it was translated; originally published in German in 1979. ***Comes with original 16"x 22" full color poster!*** Printed by Doubleday. The poster was originally folded to fit into the book and while is great condition - full, vibrant color on glossy poster paper - it does have 2 small tears at the folds. The largest is shown and it is just 3/4". The book is 396 pages long with red boards, gold title on spine and dust jacket. Measures 8-1/2" x 5-3/4" x 1-1/4". Very good to excellent condition overall - the book shows little to no wear or use. Spine is solid, binding is tight, no marks - even the edges and corners are clean. The dust jacket show normal wear with small edge damage and corner rubs. No sun fading. The DJ will be in a protective mylar cover when shipped. The text of this book is printed in red and green ink. Each chapter starts with an elaborate read and green plate with a 'drop cap' letter. I've included some photos of these plates. A fantastic copy with rare addition of a poster!
