Description: The Lace-Maker, by Jan Vermeer, The Louvre, Paris, Photo: Giraudon. Vintage Print. 11.5" x 8.75" including paper margins. Ready to frame and display. This vintage print shows some wear - there's a small crease in the bottom corner which is noticeable on a tiny sliver of the print. See pictures. Johannes Vermeer (Dutch, 1632–1675) painted The Lacemaker around 1669-1670. The work depicts a young woman in yellow bodice holding up a pair of bobbins in her left hand as she carefully works on the pillow making bobbin lace. It is the smallest of Vermeer's paintings. All my art prints are shipped stored in poly sleeves with rigid backing to protect the work.
