The Good Shepherd Print of Painting by Josef Untersberger aka Giovanni

Description: This 30 1/2 x 16 inch frame from the Vilas-Mages Co. of Chicago holds a print of a painting by Austrian artist, Josef Untersberger who signed his work Giovanni entitled The Good Shepherd. Research suggests the original painting was completed in the 1920s. This company went out of business around the time of WWII. That gives the print a probable date of the 1930s to early 1940s. The artist's signature is not seen. I don't know if it is well hidden in the foliage or by the frame. The frame is distressed. There is loss of finish in a number of spots. Photo shows close up of the largest area. There is also dark dark areas that I can't determine if that is the coloring or discoloring. Have shown a close up.
