Description: Up for sale is a RARE First Edition Hardcover copy of Thomas Cullinan’s second novel. Published in 1970, after the authors first effort, “The Beguiled,” which was filmed twice (the first movie starred Clint Eastwood), this Southern Gothic drama is also set during the time of America’s Civil War. This book is near IMPOSSIBLE to find, so it is quite the uncommon volume. The book itself in in excellent condition: the binding is tight, the gold foil stamping on the cover is bright, and the pages are unmarked other than a price stamp on the front free endpaper and a little bit of spotting on the top edge of the text block. The unclipped jacket, which I have enclosed in a Mylar sleeve, is in fairly good condition but shows its age with marking, scuffing, discoloration and sunning on the spine (see photos). A fair price for this unusual find includes careful packaging and FREE shipping in the US.
