Description: THE BEATLES: Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band 20th Anniversary Edition on CD (EXTREMELY RARE BRAND NEW 1987 Australian CD 1ST PRESSING CDP 7 46442 2) While unpacking another box today I came across this mint new still sealed copy of Sgt Peppers and the memory came back to me. Walking into one of my favourite shops in Malvern back in 1987, there was the 20th Anniversary promo poster in the window "It was 20 years ago today". I couldn't believe Peppers was back in the Top 10 after 20 years. The album peaked at No.4, incredible. This Australian pressing is the same as the rest of the world at the time. It comes in a slipcase, with a 28 page gloss colour booklet which contains cardboard insert of Sgt. Pepper cut-outs which replicates the original 1967 vinyl release. However, it's extremely difficult to find a brand new sealed copy from any country, let alone an Australian Pressing. ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING ON CD FROM 1987. The sound and mastering on this particular release is my favourite, it's obvious they put a lot of work into the sound on this release and although I think the 2009 remaster is really good, for some reason this one sounds the best to my ears. I also love the reproduction packaging, I hated the 2009 digipak style. BRAND NEW HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED FROM THE ORIGINAL WEEK OF RELEASE, STILL FACTORY SEALED.
