TESTORS NIEUPORT 17.C-1 Kit 613 1/48 Scale w/Upgraded Cockpit, V-Struts, Rockets

Description: When you look at the box art for this kit, you have to remember that the V-struts included in this kit are smooth, and the white bands you see are actually painted on (fake grooves for firing rockets). The kit's original parts also include a plank fitted across the fuselage for the one-piece pilot sitting on a seat. So, what I am including in this kit is an alternative system with pilot, seat, and instrument panel from a 1/48 scale, AURORA Nieuport 11 kit, which all fit nicely (the seat can also be attached onto the plank). In addition, I have also included two V-struts from this same kit, which have grooves on them for attaching the rocket system. Also note the pitot tube on one of the AURORA struts that is lacking on the TESTORS kit V-struts. And as shown on the photos, eight rockets are included, four of which can be attached on each side. Three photos show all parts included in this upgraded kit, as well as the really nice set of decals. The box sides are also shown, as are both sides of the instruction sheet. Except for the fuselage, wings, and nose cone, the other original parts are still on their original sprue, as shown. This is an easy kit to build. Upgrading it with these extra pieces is something that deserves to be done, will vastly improve the look of your final model and will be a great addition to your collection. This is a rather large kit box for so few many pieces, so I have put the smallest pieces in a separate plastic bag and added thin tissue paper inside the box to keep the pieces from moving around during shipment.
