This is a bare wood item NO protective coating aka “finish”, paint lacquer oil shellac sanding sealer or otherwise, has been applied. All sanding involved necessary to prep the surface prior to applying the finish of your choice is the responsibility of the buyer. Front and back outer most surfaces, i.e. faces, will be sanded to 100 grit prior to shipping. All sides, cavities, pockets, etc., may require additional sanding.
