The sharp spiral threads on the mandrel provide a griping feature on the centers of the material being held. Mandrel is ideal for use with 1/4" Collet Handpieces. Mandrel is made of Hardened Steel, it is heat treated, the taper on the threaded section is a approximately 7 degrees, providing a good hold for pin hole to 1/8" center hole wheels points etc... see pictures of various items that work with this mandrel. Mandrel - Arbor can be used with many rotary tools, including Foredom #44, 43 (As Pictured 2nd and last images) and 28 Handpieces as well as Hand Drills and die grinders.
