Description: Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.It is made of oak and is painted.There is a back splash above the upper shelf.The upper shelf is supported by tall round fluted columns with ornate capitals.The lower shelf is supported by 3 ornate corbels.There are ornate swag embellishments on the breast between the corbels.Between the shelves is an oval beveled mirror framed in beaded molding with embellishments at the 4 corners.I'm pretty sure all the embellishments are gesso not carved wood. It measures 57.75 inches wide, 81 tall, and is 10 inches deep.The firebox opening is 42 inches wide by 36 tall.Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The capitals have a couple chips and the corner of the lower shelf has a crack at one corner. Please look at the pictures carefully.
