TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED #17 (1957) F-G (1.5) cond. CLASSIC GREY-TONE COVER

Description: TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED #17 (DC 1957). Science Fiction stories. Artwork by JACK KIRBY, RUBEN MOREIRA, BILLY ELY, BERANRD BAILY. Also features a classic GREY-TONE cover by RUBEN MOREIRA and JACK ADLER. FAIR-GOOD (1.5) condition. This is a complete but low-grade copy of this book with rich color and something of the original luster. The book presents better than graded, but spine damage drops the grade down here. The spine edge is almost totally split from top to bottom, hanging together by only a couple of inches towards the top. The cover is detached at both staples and the centerfold is detached at the bottom staple (centerfold photo provided). Someone has placed an extra staple just above the top one to help hold the cover on. There is a thin chip out at the top right corner and some fragmenting and creasing at the right edge of the bottom right corner. On the back cover there is chipping at the top and bottom edges. The inside covers show some yellowing and the interior pages look off-white to light cream. It's a great reader-filler copy of a nice collectable book at a terrific price.
