Tachi Castillo 1950s vintage Crochet Cotton FULL CIRCLE SKIRT & MATCHING TOP

Description: Absolutely gorgeous late 1940s / early 1950s vintage two piece set - a tailored sleeveless top and a full circle skirt made by the fabulous Tachi Castillo label of an ivory white crocheted cotton lace sprinkled with iridescent sequins around the hem of the skirt. The top features narrow straps, a straight bustline, fitted waist with a small peplum and an adjustable rear hook closure. When I first looked at the back, I thought the eyes for the hooks were missing but there are two rows of ivory yarn eyes for the hooks that allow for better sizing. The matching skirt features a fitted waist with a side metal zipper opening and a twirly, full circle cut with a just below the knee length hem. Both pieces are fully lined with a lightweight acetate blend fabric in ivory. MEASUREMENTS: No size labels - Top (double measurements because of the adjustability of the back hook closure) - bust measures 34 - 36 inches (and therefore fits a size 32 - 34 bust best). Waist measures 28 or 30 inches. The top - measured from the underarm to the hem is 12.5 inches in length (there is extra length in the straps to be able to adjust the fit to the wearer). Skirt - waist measures 29 inches and the skirt is 30 inches long. CONDITION: Very slight wear ... overall, very good to excellent condition. SHIPPING: USA - Free Shipping.
