Offered as Buy-it-now.Movement: Lovingly brought back to life, this Rolex watch runs on a caliber 630, featuring 18 jewels, sweep second and automatic rotor. The movement is fully serviced and keeping superb time!Dial and Hands: The dial offers a classic light vintage patina - it is in superb condition with matte finish white metal with a slight warmish tone, and all original lume. As you can see from the photos, there is a very light change in color from the middle to about 8 o'clock, likely from the hands sitting in place for a long time. Rare original curved index-style gold hour and minutes hands with original lume. I did not touch either the dial or hands - they are completely original condition!Case: The case style is ref. 2940. The main case has been restored to original finishes featuring once again a combination of brushed and polished surfaces, a fine touch only found on a vintage Rolex! The lugs are brushed in a radial pattern, while the sides and bezel are polished to mirror finish. Caseback threads smoothly, as does the crown. Number on the caseback is 186,971 dating the watch to mid-1942. Matching gold crown that threads properly into the case.
