This auction is for the frog sculpture, only.This auction is for a one of a kind, handmade, very unique, 3-D frog sculpture plaque. The frog has a face you just can't resist. And, he is, in all his glorious glossy green glaze, sprawled out on an aqua and sky blue "watery" matte glazed slab.The artist's initials "M JK" are incised on the top front.Date and origin are unknown. Possibly American Southwest.For tabletop display, basically. There are no hooks or holes for wall display or wall hanging.The edges, surfaces and shapes are deliberately rustic and irregularItem is matte glazed except for the glossy green glaze on the frog. The underside is unglazed.The slab measures 8" wide, 5" deep and about 1/4" thick. Measures about 1 1/4" high from the bottom to the top of the frog's bulgy eyesWeighs 14 ounces before packaging.This plaque makes an impressive presentation and is in good, pre-owned condition. There is only one small edge ding to note, near the frog's back right knee. Please see photos.
