Replaced Components The 2016-2023 Nissan Armada is built with the following suspension components: 2016-2023 Nissan Armada Rear Air Shocks (x2) - A rubber bladder atop the shock itself fills with air to automatically keep the vehicle level and assist with the ride quality. The rubber portion of the air shock is the most common cause of leaks in the air system. The rubber portion develops cracks due to normal wear and tear and dry rot from exposure to the elements. The cracks leak air from the system and cause the onboard compressor to work overtime. 2016-2023 Nissan Armada Height Sensors (x2) - A linkage located near each wheel that constantly measures the height of the vehicle and reports this information back to the control module (computer). The ride height sensor is a moving part and they will eventually wear out. 2016-2023 Nissan Armada Front Coil-over Struts (x2) - Metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid (similar to a shock absorber) that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce bouncing motion and vibration caused by travel on rough surfaces. Coil-over struts have a coil spring seated at the top which controls the height of the vehicle. Over time, the fluids leak out of the struts from millions of up and down cycles and they need to be replaced.
