Description: This is a vintage straw-filled mohair bear, with a steel frame that has wooden front-turning wheels, and the remains of a leather strap attached to the front of the frame. The bear was purchased many years ago in Scotland and has brought many hours of joy to the little ones in our family. As you can see from the photos, his tail was pulled and needs repair, and his missing ears (lost in a move) were used as reins when he was ridden. There are only a few areas on the underside where the original mohair fur can be found, and the straw filling and interior frame can be seen through the hole above his tail. He has glass eyes, and his black-stitched nose, mouth, and paw pads are still visible. He measures 23" long, 10" wide, 15" high, including the frame, and he has lived in a smoke-free home since his journey from Scotland. There are no identifying marks on the bear or frame.
