Description: Up for sale is a vintage or antique Star machinist tool chest made by National Tool and Chest Co. The company was in business from 1937 to 1955. The prior owner carved their initials under the middle of the wood under the handle. They read “A.W.E. (or B).” The box would make a great restoration project. I would use it “as is” if I were keeping it. Features: This is a nice solid chest in very good condition. It has seven drawers. The lock is an Excelsior 411, but there is no key. I have had success in the past having keys made by a local locksmith. It also might be possible to find a key online. The drawers are in very good condition and go in and out nicely. The felt is a bit stained and worn, but is perfectly usable. The leather handle is in quite good condition for the age of this chest. Dimensions are approximately 20 inches wide, 14 inches high, and 9 inches deep. Please examine the pictures carefully and contact me with any questions prior to bidding. I accept eBay payments only.
