Description: STAN GETZ QUARTET Description Rare original first printing concert handbill advertising the Stan Getz Quartet at the Festival Hall in Osaka [Japan] on Friday, 22nd June, 1973. Besides the leader himself, the quartet featured pianist Richie Beirach, bassist Dave Holland, and drummer Jack DeJohnette. This was around the time of the Captain Marvel album, an album featuring Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Airto Moreira and Tony Williams. Shortly before recording the album Corea, Clarke and Moreira had formed the core of the group Return to Forever, and Captain Marvel shares the Latin jazz and jazz fusion sound that Corea was exploring in this era. A scarce and highly collectible piece of original early 1970s Japanese Stan Getz concert memorabilia. The handbill measures 18.2 x 25.6 cm (approx. 6" by 9" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition.
