To be honest, while we've always admired St. Faustina, the other existing photographs of her did not connect to us. The smiles in the other photos seemed sweet, but simply polite and even distant. But this is the mature Faustina, and she seems real and present. St. Maria Faustyna Kowalska, 1905-1938, was a Polish nun and mystic. Her apparitions of Jesus Christ inspired the devotion to the Divine Mercy and earned her the title of "Secretary of Divine Mercy."
