I do believe the brown accents on the ball are supposed to be there after seeing the artist's other works. The face of the clock pulls out from the baseball to replace the battery. Remove the outer ring take off the back. If I can do it, you can do it. Requires a small round battery. The clock is made of resin with a quartz Japan movement.
